MELOX is an alternative label born in Fremantle, on the coast of Western Australia.
The aim of starting my clothing brand is to inspire power and confidence within individuals through clothing.
You are what you wear and you wear who you are. You can pull off whatever you want if you do it with confidence and sass.
Creative Director/Designer Mel studied at TAFE, and is always overwhelmed by artistic impulses and colour in a world that lives for monochrome.
She redirected those into creating prints and turning personal inspirations to real life.
Each and every design belongs to the party in her brain and she would like to invite you all to join. (and bring whoever you like)
You can’t get this anywhere else.
Melox's experience with Bryden
What were the challenges you were trying to solve when you looked for a manufacturer?
The main challenges I faced before starting my clothing line were; looking for a manufacturer that did low MOQ’s, that had a fast production turn around, and a manufacturer that could provide high quality clothing and fabric printing.
I also was on the hunt for people that were professional and efficient in communication throughout the entire production process.
What made you choose to work with Bryden?
They ticked all the boxes! Even from the start they were so great with communicating with me and getting my process started.
They are extremely knowledgeable on all printing techniques and the fabrics that work best with those certain techniques, which is so important to me.
I also found the costings matched production quality.
Why do you think Bryden would be able to help you to achieve your vision?
Bryden is extremely good at communication especially when it comes down to designs.
If I designed something that may need alternative construction methods they are great at working those out.
Same goes with prints.
How was your experience with Bryden?
The experience of starting my clothing brand with Bryden has been really great. They always work super hard and do their best to match your deadline. It is easy to communicate via teambition.
I also really like that they are transparent and ethical as that is so important!
Finally, they have been really amazing at understanding my design vision and helping achieve it.
